CAFETP Excellence at CPHIA 2025 Conference
We are proud to announce the participation of Dr. Benjamin Hermann AWOUOYIEGNIGNI M. at the prestigious CPHIA 2025 Conference held in Durban from October 22 to 25, 2025.
As a graduate of the 9th cohort of the Cameroon Field Epidemiology Training Program (CAFETP) Advanced Level, fully funded by Africa CDC, his success demonstrates the strength of our partnership.
A huge thank you to Africa CDC, who also offered Dr. Awouoyiegnigni a full scholarship to cover his conference attendance, enabling him to deliver an oral presentation on the research conducted during his CAFETP training.
Presentation Theme: “Low adherence to PMTCT and associated ecological factors among HIV-positive mothers: A cross-sectional study in the North Region, Cameroon, 2024.”
This essential work highlights the direct contribution of field epidemiology to critical public health challenges.
Congratulations to Dr. Awouoyiegnigni for this international recognition! This achievement proves the impact of FETP training and the driving role of Cameroonian research in Africa.
