CAFETP at the ECOWAS Lassa Fever Conference
We’re looking back at a highlight from September 2025: CAFETP’s participation in the 2nd ECOWAS International Conference on Lassa Fever held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Congratulations to Dr. Samantha Awoumou, who brilliantly represented our program by presenting an impactful scientific poster titled: “Dengue Outbreak Investigation in Mfandena I Heath Area, Yaounde, Cameroon, January 2025: Uncovering Hidden Cases and Surveillance Gaps.”
This work underscores the vital importance of field epidemiology, which enabled the identification of « missed » Dengue cases and significantly strengthened the surveillance system in the Mfandena I health area.
